Besides the obvious at first glance huge hole in his chest which was made to represent the possibility of his heart being broken or ripped out and/or it being his soul... you'll notice at second glance the lack of color in his lower half. It is just black and white pen and ink illustration. Not fully in color anymore, or maybe the opposite is true and the pain brings him reality.
The cool thing here is the multiple possible interpretations of this image. He is beyond broken. How though? Each of us has our own stories to tell. We all walk long miles, but they are different paths. These paths lead us to different interpretations of this image.
The shirt has the image large on the back and smaller on the left front chest area.
